041004.10 – A Place
My grandmother has had a flower garden for as long as I can remember, just outside the back door.  Last year, for reasons she can’t recall, she chose not to tend it, but she decided to resurrect it this spring.  Being the angelic granddaughter that I am, I offered to help.  Big mistake.  Huge.  It’s still looking pretty rough, but today we cleared out a lot of the weeds and grass that moved in last year.  At least the peonies can see the sun now.

Incidentally, the wrought iron table I was sitting at when I took this photo was purchased so family members would have a place to sit outside when they were in town for my parents’ wedding, almost 45 years ago.
